A 1988 Roseau High School graduate where he was a three year letter winner for the Rams where the defenseman earned Mariucci All-Conference honors his senior year as well as serving as Captain. He spent the first two years of his college career at Gustavus Adolphus College where he was selected as Freshman of the Year and was a two time MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention honoree. Following his time at Gustavus went on to North Dakota State University playing ACHA Club hockey for the Bison winning ACHA Division I National Championships in two of those years as well as serving as captain his final season for the Bison. He was selected to the National All-Tournament teams each of his three seasons at NDSU. Following his college career, he spent five seasons playing Senior hockey for the Warroad Lakers where they dominated winning three straight Allen Cups (1994, 1995,1996) which is the Canadian National Senior “AAA” Championship. After the Lakers folded in 1997, he finished out his playing career playing for various Senior teams in Canada and retiring in 2002. Following his playing career he was actively involved in the Roseau Youth Hockey program coaching at multiple levels and most recently serving as Head Coach of the VFW Bantam AA team the 2020-2021 season.
He is the 14th Boys Head Hockey Coach in the history of the storied Roseau Rams High School Hockey Program.
